Job Summary

Most often the first contact with participants and visitors to The Women’s Center providing a friendly, welcoming, and helpful environment. . Recruits volunteer lawyers for the Family Law Legal Clinic and Divorce Workshop series. Maintains schedule of legal clinics including scheduling lawyers and participants. Schedules, organizes, and hosts the Divorce Workshop series. Maintains communication and schedules for The Women’s Center volunteers. Schedules appointments for participants to meet with volunteers. Maintains participant records and documents services in electronic database. Serves as a member of The Women’s Center team. Answers and responds to phone and email inquiries that come through the main phone number and email address. Makes referrals as appropriate. Provides administrative support to the employees of The Women’s Center, schedules appointments and reminders, prepares office correspondences, promotes the programs services and events, and maintains employees’ calendars. Maintains program website.



Qualifications - Education

Associate Degree required.



Qualifications - Experience

Minimum of 3 years administrative office, business and technology experience with focus on office management, organization and human relations/customer services skills. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.



Qualifications - Skills

Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, especially verbal communication, patient and compassionate; tact and good judgement in working with large number of diverse individuals; able to deal with difficult people and situations; proficient in Microsoft 365, Google Docs, social media platforms, virtual platforms, website management and ability to learn proprietary software programs. Knowledgeable about Morris County social service resources; ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and needs; dependable; self-directed; flexible; organized; able to act with independent judgement; must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and be able to work flexible hours as needed to meet participant and program needs. Strong organization and time management skills; able to work independently on multiple tasks; and able to maintain high level of confidentiality.



Work Hours

Monday – Thursday, 9am – 3pm
Several evenings per month required.
