Position Summary:

A MA Trainee will work in an assigned NeighborHealth Department fulfilling the duties assigned to them by their direct Manager.

Essential Duties:

  • Will provide excellent customer service to help resolve inquiries or requests for patients and NeighborHealth staff.

  • Will work in their assigned NeighborHealth Department supporting the needs of that Department, their colleagues, and patients (if applicable).

  • Will provide telephone/email support; answering phones/emails in a pleasant and cordial manner while providing excellent customer service to help resolve inquiries or requests.

  • Follow established departmental policies and procedures for environmental safety and infection control.

  • Reflect NeighborHealth core values.

  • Maintain professional attitude.

  • Will work in their assigned NeighborHealth Department supporting the needs of that Department, their colleagues, and patients (if applicable).

  • Maintain issues promptly.

  • Will provide telephone/email support; answering phones/emails pleasantly and cordially while providing excellent customer service to help resolve inquiries or requests. 

  • Participates in required departmental activities. 

  • Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance.

  • Adhere to all NeighborHealth and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Use NeighborHealth devices appropriately.

  • Follow established departmental policies and procedures for environmental safety and infection control.

  • Perform other related duties from the clinical department as needed.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Able to anticipate potential problems and problem-solve independently.

  • Good communication skills with the ability to both work with different NeighborHealth departments both independently and as a team member.

  • Bilingual in Spanish prefer but not required.

Pay Rate:

  • $20.00 per hour, until successfully completed program, and transitioned into Medical Assistant I role.
