This Finance position in the Credit & Fraud Risk Controllership (C&FRC) organization will play a key role in achieving our goal to protect and assure the integrity of the AXP financial statements and proactively mitigate controllable financial risk. As part of a world-class Controllership group, the C&FRC organization is responsible for managing end to end credit process from reserve adequacy assessment to the SEC and regulatory reporting. This role will be responsible for credit reserve accounting & reporting, governance & results analysis for AXP reserves and its subsidiaries
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of credit reserves
- Responsible for regular co-ordination with global stakeholders to get the right level of information.
- Partner & collaborate with Credit & Fraud Risk, Risk Finance, Model Governance team to assess & record reserving for qualitative factors.
- Perform analytics on big data to generate insights on measure of credit metrics and drivers of performance.
- Support change management related to continuous improvement along with overall controls & governance.
- Partner with Business, Network and Technology teams to support platform modernization & automation initiatives.
- Support internal and external audit reviews and controls including SOX PRSA Management along with regulators queries/exam
- Manage a team of 1-2 resources
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with enterprise governance of credit reserves, related accounting and reporting in accordance with CECL framework
- 5+ years of accounting & reporting experience including good knowledge in US GAAP accounting, SEC, and Regulatory Reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft office ( power point, word) with strong presentation skills.
- Attention to detail with a dedication to maintain and improving a strong control environment
- Strong communicator; able to synthesize and communicate complex topics clearly
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of tools such as Oracle, Cornerstone, Tableau, TM1 etc.
- Strong process orientation and analytical problem-solving skills demonstrated process improvement experience.
- Results driven, self-starter, able to lead and influence without direct authority.
- Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands, and effectively manage in a matrix organization.
- Effective leadership skills and commitment to mentoring, coaching, and developing direct reports
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance, CPA /CA /MBA (top tier) preferred
- Knowledge of Amex systems (Triumph, Globestar, Oracle) will be a plus
- Experience of leading enterprise-wide initiatives, collaboration, and building cross functional network is preferred

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
