Summary of Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Network Administration to oversee and manage our organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in network architecture, security, and operations, coupled with strong leadership abilities to guide a team of network administrators and engineers effectively. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our network systems to support our business operations seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Network Infrastructure Management:
    • Design, implement, and manage our organization's LAN/WAN infrastructure.
    • Ensure high availability and performance of all network services, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
    • Monitor network performance and optimize system parameters to support business needs.
  • Network Security:
    • Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and protocols.
    • Oversee the deployment of security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
    • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of network administrators and engineers.
    • Set clear goals, objectives, and priorities for the team.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the network administration team.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Evaluate and manage vendor relationships for network hardware, software, and services.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effective and efficient network solutions.
  • Capacity Planning and Disaster Recovery:
    • Develop and maintain network capacity plans to meet current and future organizational needs.
    • Implement and test disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure network resilience and business continuity.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure network compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR).
    • Maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and operating procedures.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project initiatives and business objectives.
    • Communicate network status, project updates, and issues to senior management and stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in network administration, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of network security practices and standards.
  • Experience managing enterprise-scale LAN/WAN environments.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, CISSP) are a plus.
  • Experience with: Cisco routers and switches (ACI, IOS-XE, NX-OS, IOS-XR, Cisco DNA)
  • Experience with AWS, GCP and Azure 
  • Experience with EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, multicast, unicast, layer 3 VPN
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls
  • Experience with Aruba Clearpass
  • Experience with Aruba Wireless
  • Experience with NetBrain, and OPManager
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Visio/AutoCAD
  • Experience with F5 Storage LTM and Quantum 
  • Experience with new circuit deployment
  • Experience with Broadcast or Media is preferred

Compensation

$109,000 – $172,400
