Job Responsibilities
Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of staff. Diagnoses, treats, prevents and controls disorders of the teeth and mouth including gums and related oral structures. May treat diseases of nerve, pulp and other dental tissues affecting vitality of teeth.
- Perform hygiene exams
- Performs dental exams
- Take x-rays
- Apply fluoride and/or sealants
- Perform prophies, restorations and extractions
- Prescribe medications for dental problems
- Keep records relating to health and treatment of patients
- Work within an equal partnering team and may instruct dental and non-dental staff
- Experience with Pediatric dentistry
- Willingness to travel (potential reimbursement)
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Familiarity with Medicaid & Chips Program
- Comfortable with pediatric practices
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate or professional degree in dentistry from an accredited college or university AND Three years of experience AND current Georgia license to practice dentistry.
