Job Summary
The Markey Cancer Center is currently seeking a Post-doctoral Scholar who will be trained under Dr. Pamela Hull. This position offers an intensive mentored training experience in community-engaged research, implementation science, quality improvement, and implementation of evidence-based guidelines for cancer prevention and control (e.g., HPV vaccine, cancer screenings, social needs and patient navigation during cancer treatment). The training experience includes working on all aspects of community engagement efforts and research projects, disseminating research findings, and developing a research agenda to prepare for transitioning to an independent community-engaged researcher and implementation scientist in a faculty position. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: assist with data collection and analysis, assist with development of intervention content, prepare measurement tools and study protocols, collaborate with community partners, plan and implement dissemination activities, prepare scientific manuscripts as lead author and co-author, present research at conferences, and submit at least one funding application.
Experience or demonstrated interest in implementation science, cancer prevention/control, health disparities, health behavior interventions, and evidence-based interventions/practices.
This position has a fully onsite work arrangement.
