JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Greystar is a dynamic organization focused on leveraging data-driven insights to improve business outcomes. We are seeking a skilled Power BI Reporting Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data visualization, experienced in Power BI, and have a deep understanding of DAX, Power Query, and building data models/relationships.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide insights to drive business decisions.
  • Create and optimize DAX measures and Power Query scripts to ensure accurate and efficient data transformation and calculations.
  • Build and maintain relationships within the data model, ensuring consistency and integrity across datasets.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into actionable insights through visualizations.
  • Leverage various methods to import and integrate external data sources into Power BI, including API connections, dataflows, and queries that consolidate Excel extracts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PowerBI reports and data models.
  • Stay current with Power BI updates, new features, and best practices to ensure the optimal performance of reports and dashboards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with Power BI, including advanced data visualization techniques and dashboard creation.
  • Strong knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating calculated columns, measures, and custom tables.
  • Proficient in Power Query for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, including data cleansing and transformation.
  • Experience in building and managing data models, including creating and maintaining relationships between tables.
  • Ability to integrate and work with API connections, dataflows, and queries that consolidate Excel extracts in Power BI.
  • Knowledge of SQL & Power Automate is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products, such as PowerPoint, to present complex financial and operational data in a polished and engaging format for senior leaders.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field and/or equivalent experience is preferred.

Additional Compensation:

  • Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
  • Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
