Description

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Refrigeration/Maintenance Mechanic to work in our Mechanic and HVAC department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) with every Friday off.

You will perform mechanical maintenance duties on HVAC and Refrigeration equipment at MFC. You will report directly to the manager of the Mechanic and HVAC department.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, and perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on Mechanical/Refrigeration systems and components.
  • Inspect and operate Mechanical/Refrigeration systems and components.
  • Participate in work planning walk-downs and work-hour estimating.
  • Build and maintain effective customer relationships.
  • Perform on the job training (OJT) for other crafts.
  • Participate in maintenance assessments.
  • Perform job and shop Lead functions.
  • Coupling and alignment of mechanical equipment.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 

  • High school diploma, or equivalent, and 5 years applicable (Refrigeration) experience, or 2-year Vocational training plus 3 years applicable (Refrigeration) experience.
  • Qualified Universal Refrigeration Technician per 40CFR part 82 subpart F.
  • Journeyman HVAC Technician license preferred.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship. 


Job Information: 

  • The pay range for this position is $min - $max. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
  • You are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
