Job Description
Summary
As a Research Engineer at Veolia HPD, you will play a crucial role in our mission to develop and optimize environmentally responsible processes. You will work closely with our process design team to conduct laboratory and pilot testing, generate data, and provide technical insights that will inform process design improvements and innovations. You will have the opportunity to learn about various unit operations including evaporation, crystallization, membrane treatment, ion exchange, chemical precipitation and settling, filtration, carbon adsorption and various solid/liquid separations.
This entry level position has advancement opportunities into Process Design, Field Service or Project Engineering as well as the potential for advancement within the research group.

- Laboratory and Pilot Testing: Plan, execute, and oversee laboratory and pilot-scale experiments to assess the feasibility and performance of various processes.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data to draw meaningful conclusions and provide actionable recommendations for process design enhancements.
- Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to environmental processes and apply this knowledge to improve existing processes and develop new solutions.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, researchers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of laboratory findings into the process design phase.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of experiments, results, and methodologies, and prepare reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures
