Robotic Process Automation Developer
Overview
The RPA Developer is responsible for the development, management, and support of automation technologies throughout the credit union. Using the industry best practices and technologies, the RPA Developer works to enhance business processes by creating and deploying software for automation, integration, efficiency gains, and process improvements. Other responsibilities include requirements gathering, code review, debugging and initial QA.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy automated processes.
- Lead reviews of existing processes to identify automation opportunities.
- Champion continual process improvements and innovation.
- Work with team members and business process owners to gather and define project requirements.
- Create documentation for existing business processes, design specifications, and procedures.
- Provide post-production support as necessary for automated processes.
- Build RPA design patterns, libraries, and reusable components.
- Periodically conduct performance tuning and enhancements to optimize automated processes.
- Setup, configure, monitor, and maintain RPA environments.
- Automate processes with additional tools as needed, including, but not limited to, SQL, APIs, scripting, etc.
- Recognize and understand use of design patterns for intermediate/complex applications.
- Participate and provide feedback in design reviews.
- Participate in team code reviews to ensure standards, interoperability, and security.
- Support the creation of test plans, conditions, test data, and testing reviews.
- Track and resolve defects.
- Provide technical assistance.
- Execute change management activities supporting production deployments for projects and other changes.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in business, computer science or related field.
- Experience with one or more robotic process automation systems such as Automation Anywhere, PowerApps, Nintex, NICE, Pega, or UIPath
- Ability to work within multiple development methodologies (Waterfall, SCRUM, Agile)
- Understanding of source control technologies
- Collaborate well with others, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience software development practices and systems development.
- Previous experience with core system processing in a bank or credit union a plus.
