1. GENERAL POSITION INFORMATION

Position Name: Senior Coordinator of Outreach and Partnerships

Classification: Exempt, benefitted

FTE: Full-time

Work Hours: 8:00-4:30 PT

Department/Division: Admissions

Supervisor: Director of Outreach and Partnerships

Location: Remote or Hybrid

2. POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Coordinator of Outreach and Partnerships is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the visibility and reputation of UWS through effective outreach initiatives and partnerships. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for higher education. The Senior Coordinator will engage with prospective students, alumni, industry partners, and academic institutions to foster relationships that support the graduate school’s mission and enrollment goals.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Outreach Strategy Development: Design and execute outreach strategies to attract diverse prospective students, including underrepresented populations, by leveraging various communication techniques and community engagement.
  • Partnership Management:Identify, establish, and maintain partnerships with universities, organizations, and industry stakeholders to promote UWS programs and increase enrollment.
  • Event Coordination: Plan and coordinate outreach events, including webinars, information sessions, and campus tours ensuring a positive experience for attendees and effective representation of the institution.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with faculty, alumni, and current students to highlight the graduate school’s strengths and unique offerings.
  • Data Analysis:Monitor and analyze outreach efforts, providing regular reports and insights to inform strategy adjustments and enhance effectiveness.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain communication plans, collaborating with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging across all outreach platforms, including newsletters, social media, and the school’s website.
  • Professional Development: Stay informed about trends in higher education, recruitment strategies, and partnership development to continuously enhance outreach efforts.
  • International Recruitment: Serve as the backup Designated School Official (DSO) for the university and assist the Director of Outreach and Partnerships to monitor government regulations which affect international students, assist international students in all phases of enrollment; advise F-1 students on maintaining their visa status, including options post-graduation.

5. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in outreach, marketing, or partnership development, preferably in higher education.
  • Proven track record of successful relationship-building and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in graduate education.
