In this job, you will drive the strategic direction of SCE’s Grid Data Center Technologies and Grid Computing Infrastructure, supporting critical grid control systems and business operations. You will influence key technology and data initiatives while ensuring alignment with current business objectives and future architectures. Leading a team of IT portfolio professionals, you will collaborate with senior leadership to optimize our technology portfolio and ensure it aligns with our organizational strategy. You will oversee the evolution, implementation, and governance of portfolio standards and processes, empowering informed decisions on investments across our entire project portfolio.
Additionally, you’ll:
- Lead the strategic planning and technology adoption of SCE’s Grid Computing Infrastructure, supporting 2 Grid Data Centers and 23 Generation field locations to ensure operational reliability and alignment with long-term business goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executive and senior leadership across operational units (OUs), ensuring seamless project delivery, reliable operations, and secure Grid Computing environments.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of program and project management activities, ensuring successful implementation of business solutions that meet both immediate and long-term SCE technology needs.
- Manage risk, value optimization, and stakeholder transparency to ensure compliance with reliability, cybersecurity, and NERC CIP standards, while driving the evolution of SCE’s Grid Computing environment.
- Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in cybersecurity technologies, Grid Modernization, and SCE’s Pathway 2045 initiatives, directly influencing the company's most critical operational technology systems.
- Manage employee performance for both direct and/or matrixed reports, establishing performance expectations and goals aligned with Company objectives, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
- Develops information security standards and guidelines for systems, products and processes
- Evaluates and audits the implementation of and the compliance with the IS standards
- Advises the internal departments for security-relevant IT projects, product development and customer solutions to meet compliance requirements
- Designs and distributes security metrics to meet regional needs
- Consults and supports internal business units and IT for closing vulnerabilities and treating risks
- Drives regular assessments on detection and response controls to improve the security posture and prevent regression
- Drives the maturity of the company's security operations procedures including the incident response framework
- Creates, reviews, validates, tests, and implements, as necessary, security documentation, processes, and controls
- Conducts vulnerability detection, threat data, network intrusion, development, and implementation of vulnerability mitigation strategies
- Steers programs such as Incident Response (IR), Identity and Access Management (IAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Security Program (ISP), and others involving security controls and management of the infrastructure
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
- Two or more years experience in cybersecurity, information security and/or information technology.
The Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of AI solutions and DevOps practices
- Five or more years of experience in Information Technology (IT) or Operational Technology (OT) and/or Engineering.
- Five or more years of experience building strong teams and building a positive work environment.
- Five or more years of experience creating effective oral and written communications in a professional work environment.
- Seven or more years of experience managing one or more org units.
- Seven or more years of experience managing multiple business and technology solutions.
You should know
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- The primary work location for this position is Rosemead;however, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at (alternate work location).
- Position will require up to10% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
- This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
