The Operational Risk Management (ORM) team facilitates and monitors the implementation of effective operational risk management programs throughout the organization, and oversees risk ownership throughout business units, products, and processes.

The objective of the Operational Risk Management (ORM) Testing, Monitoring, Aggregation and Reporting team is to support organizational resilience through performance of independent testing and monitoring; and establish clear guidelines through standards for reporting and risk assessments; and provide a holistic view of Operational Risk Management (ORM) through aggregated reporting.

Operational Risk Management is looking for a Manager of Testing, Monitoring, Aggregation and Reporting to manage a diverse team of high-performing professionals focused on ensuring effective operational risk management is embedded in the day-to-day operations of our organization. It will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies.

The Manager, Operational Risk Management (ORM), Monitoring, Aggregation & Reporting will:

  • Define and enhance processes for identifying and assessing risks (i.e., PRSA), and manage independent 2LoD testing of ORs, incl. integration of methodologies and test plans to address interconnected risks
  • Coordinate a holistic, de-duplicated independent risk assessment process
  • Identify BU risks in E2E, horizontal processes given location within the organization to look holistically across BUs and functional areas
  • Input into the risk based annual plan for testing
  • Proactively identify areas of concern or risk for targeted intervention
  • Oversee testing processes (incl. PRSA) in coordination with First Line of Defense (1LoD) and Third Line of Defense (3LoD)
  • Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and other related metrics, and provide frequent reporting which include an overall view of risks and trends (e.g., holistic insight reporting)
  • Manage cross-functional Communities of Practice (CoPs) to share best practice techniques and pioneer new methodologies

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ Years experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function) Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in process governance, with an understanding of processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous
  • Experience in at least one of the following: 

oTranslating operational risk strategy and appetite into execution guidelines 

oReview the tracking and identifying of issues with Key Risk Indicator (KRI) limits and risk appetite to ensure operational risks are managed within agreed thresholds 

oOversee the implementation of the operational risk governance frameworks  

oCommunicating and ensuring understanding and adherence to operational risk procedures and standards  

oManage the operational risk exam management processes 

  • Experience in financial services industry

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
