JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Greystar Digital Technologies (Codename: “Apex”) is revolutionizing the real estate leasing and living experience for our residents. We are building software designed to improve our customers’ apartment shopping journey and enable business intelligence to help us develop personalized experiences for our residents.

As a member of a high-performing agile team, you will be 100% hands-on developing application features for our industry-changing products used by thousands of residents and apartment shoppers. You will participate in feature design sessions, perform code reviews, and work with your peers in the development team to ensure timely resolution of issues.

JOB DESCRIPTION

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and maintain Apex Sitecore XM Cloud based solutions, using Next.JS
  • Deliver full-stack software solutions at the highest level of quality
  • Be an authority on visual aspects of UI component development
  • Assist in mentoring junior developers  
  • Optimize code for scalability, performance, and security.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Implement A/B testing using LaunchDarkly to experiment with and optimize application features.
  • Participate in feature design sessions to ensure the feasibility and functionality of new features.
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and stability of the application.
  • Advise on new industry trends and best practice
  • Stay up to date with the latest development tools and techniques.
  • Ensure a high standard of code quality is met using Sonarcloud or similar tools.
  • Develop and maintain application technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Provide level 2 and/or level 3 production support as needed

Technical Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of Sitecore XM Cloud platform
  • Expert understanding of headless development using Sitecore Javascript Services (JSS) and Cloud SDK
  • Minimum of 5+ years of development experience with Next.js/React.js
  • Excellent front-end development skills using modern tooling and frameworks
  • Excellent understanding of Node.js development and debugging tools
  • Knowledge of LaunchDarkly (or similar) for feature flag management and progressive delivery
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integrating frontend with backend services.
  • Experience with Vercel and/or Netlify build and delivery architecture
  • Experience with Static Site Generation (SSG) and Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR) concepts
  • Experience with personalization and A/B testing platforms including Sitecore Personalize and LaunchDarkly
  • Highly Proficient in development tooling including Git, Bash, PowerShell
  • Expert knowledge of cloud-native architecture, web-based systems architecture, service-oriented architecture, and enterprise application architecture.
  • Experience with Agile, DevOps, SDLC methodologies.

Technical Pre-screening test and technical interview will be required for all candidates.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional time outside of core hours depending on priorities and deliverables

Additional Compensation:

  • Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
  • Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
