Description

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Senior Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer to work in our Intelligent Automation department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule Remote with every other Friday off. You will report to the senior manager over the Intelligent Automation department.

The Sr. RPA Developer will design, develop, and implement RPA solutions aimed at automating repetitive and rule-based tasks across various departments.

You will have a proven track record with at least one of the industry-leading RPA tools: Power Automate, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or UiPath. Additionally, the RPA Developer must have excellent customer-facing skills, as they will engage with business partners to identify automation opportunities and provide solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Apply intelligent automation principles, theories, and concepts to complex analytical processes.
  • Plan, develop and implement automation-engineering solutions to complex problems and major projects using one of the following: Power Automate, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or UiPath.
  • Review source code and automation design documentation, reports from users, and other technical artifacts.
  • Deploy RPA components including: Bots, development tools, code repositories, and scripts.
  • Monitor the performance of deployed RPA solutions and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness. Support existing RPA solutions when issues arise.
  • Support project plans and requirements, establish scope, cost and schedule estimates for design and development activities.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior RPA Developers
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, regulations, and security standards throughout the automation process.
  • Remain current on the latest trends and developments in RPA technology and apply best practices to continuous improvement programs.
  • Use expertise to define strategic direction in assigned areas.
  • Ensure Compliance with INL’s safety, security, environmental, health and quality assurance requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and minimum of 5-9 years in IT; or 11-15 years of IT experience in lieu of degree.
  • 4 years in RPA development, with expertise in at least one of the following tools: Power Automate, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or UiPath. 
  • Experience building libraries of reusable code objects
  • 4 years experience performing code reviews
  • 4 years experience supporting production automations
  • Experience interacting with non-technical partners
  • Experience with programming languages such as C#, .NET, Python, or others.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Certification in one of the leading RPA platforms: Power Automate, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, UiPath.
  • Experience with AI and machine learning integration in RPA solutions.
  • T-SQL.
  • RESTful APIs, GraphQL.
  • ServiceNow incident creation


Job Information: 

  • The pay range for this position is: Level 3 $91,008 - $186,588/ Level 4 $109,260 - $223,908. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
