Summary of Position
The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for maintaining systems configurations in the corporate on-premise infrastructure and Azure/O365 Cloud environments. This position will be responsible for all elements of Email systems on-premises and in O365. The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing capacity planning information, managing systems and infrastructure security and supporting the day-to-day activities of the corporate network. The Senior Systems Engineer will provide technical leadership and mentoring of other Systems Engineers. This position will work closely and cooperatively with other Systems and Application Engineers in their duties.
Responsibilities
- Configuration, monitoring, and management of Windows Exchange server and Exchange Online based email systems in a hybrid environment.
- Email protection, journaling, vaulting, and e-discovery as required.
- Tier 3 problem resolution for client email software.
- Systems architectural integrity, capacity planning, monitoring and management.
- System and infrastructure security.
- Planning and management of hybrid infrastructure environment supporting Windows, Linux, and MacIntosh systems.
- Manage SharePoint On-Prem and On-Line environments including workflows
- Research and provide guidance for long-term planning and infrastructure improvements.
- Monitor resources, utilization, and provide trend analysis.
- Develop strong intra and inter-department working relationships.
- Develop procedures and policies for operation.
- Create and maintain documentation of infrastructure.
- Strong judgment and problem analysis techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.
- Self starter, strong organizational skills and proficient in establishing priorities.
- Occasional evening maintenance, weekend and on-call work required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years systems experience in mid-size enterprise environment.
- Experience with Exchange 2013-2019 on-premises installation and hybrid Exchange Online/O365 implementation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Powershell in an on-prem Exchange and O365 hybrid environment.
- Knowledge of configuration and management of Microsoft inTune.
- Knowledge of configuration and management of Azure AD synchronization utilities.
- Experience with configuration and management of external email filtering and security utilities – Mimecast or Proofpoint experience preferred.
- Experience with Email Journaling and data protection.
- Knowledge of and experience with maintaining Veritas Enterprise Vault or similar utilities.
- Experience with Clearwell E-Discovery utilities.
- Experience migrating to or between Microsoft Exchange Online tenants.
- Strong troubleshooting skills related to Outlook on both Mac and Windows clients.
- Experience in VMWare virtualized environments.
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory/LDAP, DNS, DHCP.
- Knowledege of SharePoint, MS Teams and OneDrive
- Ability to grasp and master technology concepts quickly when needed.
- Developing and implementing security on Windows and/or Linux systems.
- Monitoring configuration and troubleshooting.

Compensation
$95,400 – $149,300
