Position Summary
 

The Staff Accountant will perform a variety of technical accounting duties that require the application of accounting theory and practices. The position will be a significant contributor to the Location3 revenue accounting process, including leading the invoicing process, preparing journal entries, assisting with monthly and year-end close and analysis of financial results, and working closely with an AR/AP specialist. Expect to work in a dynamic environment that is fast-paced and high performing. Expected Salary - $60,000 to $75,000 annually depending on experience

General Duties

  • Leads the client invoicing process monthly, ensuring that invoices are accurate and sent to the client in a timely manner. Including creating and sending invoicing for complex client structures.
  • Responsible for accuracy of revenue reporting, including billing, accruals, and deferrals, as appropriate.
  • Maintains contract details for invoicing purposes and sets up new Clients in accounting software.
  • Works with Partner Directors to explain any revenue variances to forecast.
  • Assist with month end closing, including expense recognition and related accruals.
  • Manages cash flow, including depositing checks, wire/ACH creations, and payment by check.
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts, as assigned.
  • Responsible for uploading credit card transactions accurately
  • Point of contact with internal team regarding process changes or information needed for invoicing purposes
  • Manages monthly billing exceptions requests form.
  • Responsible for cross examining data used for Invoicing for accuracy
  • Manages Wellness Reimbursement
  • Works with Junior level accountant for escalated collections efforts
  • Prepares reports for internal team as needed

Supervisory Duties 
You will supervise and mentor an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable clerk and will oversee and be responsible for the following:

  • Collections of past due accounts.
  • Timely payment of vendor bills.
  • Client billing performed by this individual.
  • Training, mentoring, and developing their skills.
  • Annual and semi-annual performance reviews.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • Ability to work well with others while maintaining a degree of autonomy
  • Demonstrated leadership in the improvement of accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy
  • An eye for detail
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a high-volume invoicing environment is a plus
  • Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus
