Fidelity TalentSource is your destination for discovering your next temporary role at Fidelity Investments. We are currently sourcing for a Systems Engineer to work in the Enterprise Technology Group within Fidelity Investments in Merrimack, NH.

The Role

Provides outstanding support across a suite of applications used by large scale enterprise applications, databases, and technologies using Linux, Tomcat, SQL, HP Sitescope, Splunk, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud services as part of Fidelity’s Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations team. Provides data availability, batch cycle, application health, incident triage, problem, release/change implementation, Cloud support, troubleshooting, and issue analysis management using Datadog, EKS, Autosys, Udeploy, Kafka, Rundeck, Ansible and DevOps tools. Serves as a domain expert, and crisis and communications manager for major system outages or business-critical issues. Ensures the integrity, stability, maintainability, and availability of business systems, applications, and infrastructure in production and non-production environments.

The Team

Our team works with other technology professionals to support Asset Management Technology (AMT) solutions for the Equity & High Income divisions. AMT is an integral part of Asset Management and is responsible for delivering innovative, scalable, industry-leading investment tools that enable Fidelity to achieve a competitive advantage globally.
We work to assess and mitigate the business impact of production incidents every day. We analyze and solve application & batch issues. We work very closely with technology partners to implement code changes into production.

The Expertise you have

  • 8+ years IT experience
  • Proven technical background with high degree of comfort with Linux, Oracle databases, PostgreSQL databases, networking concepts, and ITSM-based methodologies
  • Experience with batch scheduling software (e.g. Autosys/Control-M) and ETL processing
  • Familiarity with event driven architecture (e.g. Apache Kafka)
  • Extensive experience with Oracle, pgadmin and PL/SQL
  • Experience with automated deployment tools & techniques (Concourse, Jenkins, Jenkinscore, Udeploy)
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog and Sitescope
  • Experience with advanced analytics and data visualization tool Spotfire
  • You have a solid grasp of AWS. Certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS)
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java and Go

  • Advocating for production stability and supportability by working directly with engineering teams to find opportunities for improvements
