Job Responsibilities
- Collect and compile program data.
- Compile the Quarterly and Annual Reports.
- Compile an annual trends report of program goals and objectives.
- Collect data from various data sources.
- Conduct data mining, coding, and de-duplicating.
- Analyze data to assess data quality, completeness and timeliness.
- Follow-up with sources to address identified data issues or anomalies.
- Present data findings to various audiences (e.g. lay audience, program staff, leadership staff, Epi-staff) during meetings and conferences.
- Develop program reports and fact sheets.
- Perform computer runs using a statistical package preferably SAS or STATA to generate frequency tables.
Minimum Qualifications
Current College Student (Undergraduate or Graduate) majoring in Public Health or a closely related field or Recent Graduate. Completion of coursework in Epidemiology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Excel experience to produce charts.
- Experience with statistical software, preferably SAS or STATA to analyze data.
- Interested in working in a state or county public health agencies.
- Experience presenting data to various audiences.
Additional Information
The Internship will be located in Downtown Atlanta at the Georgia Department of Public Health.
Internship positions allow flexible work schedules and the opportunity to work remotely, if available.
A Student Affiliation Agreement is required with a College or University to provide credit or practicum hours.
