Howmet Engine Systems (Cleveland Tempcraft) is currently seeking an experienced HR professional to join our&nbsp; Human Resource team. This position is responsible for a variety of human resources activities including HR administration, HR data maintenance and analysis, recruiting and staffing, some payroll administration and training.&nbsp; Work hours will be Monday through Friday.&nbsp; This is a salaried position that may require some flexibility in hours to meet the needs of the business. Primary focus of the first year of this role will be to lead and execute hiring a team to staff a local, new facility due to growth. Our industry is experiencing growth due to increased travel demands worldwide.&nbsp; The focus of the new facility will be a new tooling line that compliments many of the established best practices from the original facility. As the hiring winds down, the role will settle in to more of an execution role, with the following areas of focus- Responsibilities include but are not limited to: <ul><li>Support recruitment and retention activities for hourly and salaried employees. Create job postings, schedule interviews, create job offers, initiate, and monitor background checks, schedule pre-placement physicals and drug screens, maintain recruitment and employment files, onboard new hires, support ongoing training and development activities.&nbsp;Local outreach recruiting efforts will be required as needed.</li><li>Providing HRIS and HR system support including new hire conversion, Paid time off administration, Short Term Disability and Family Medical Leave administration, HRIS interface administration.</li><li>Support teambuilding activities and employee communications, for onsite events, service / diamond award distribution, TV system messaging.&nbsp;</li><li>Supports several areas of HR compliance, including monthly HR reporting, Affirmative Action Plan reporting, Performance Management communications, HRIS/employment processing, unemployment claim administration, file maintenance and storage,</li><li>Coordinate with payroll for referral and signing bonus administration, scheduled&nbsp;salary increases and various other HR related payments.</li><li>Responsible for supporting HR projects, such as: handbook and policy updates, development of a learning matrix, updating job descriptions, apprenticeship program related activities, general benefit administration, annual wellness activities, Howmet Foundation activities.&nbsp;</li><li>Responsible for preparing various ad hoc reports and metrics.</li><li>Support the implementation of strategic HR programs and communications.</li><li>Ensure compliance with HR policies and practices, as well as compliance to federal and state employment laws and regulations.</li><li>Ensure all activities are strategic and in compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity policies and practices.</li><li>Ensure positive organizational development&nbsp;by leveraging&nbsp;best practices and change management techniques.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul> Basic Qualifications&nbsp; <ul><li>A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution</li><li>This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.</li><li>Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
