Unplug, clear, and flush all feed stream sources such as:<ul><li>Lines, chutes, tubes, pipes, nozzles, gates and conveyors</li></ul></li><li>Report malfunctions and inoperable equipment to the maintenance department for repairs using the site Work Request System</li><li>Perform basic maintenance to unit equipment such as valve changing, gasket &amp; gauge replacements, and blind flange removal and installation</li><li>Safely shut down and start up the incinerator unit during scheduled outages as well as upset conditions</li><li>Perform Lock Out Tag Out(LOTO) on all systems and streams within the incineration unit</li><li>Work with contractors and maintenance department on preventative maintenance and repairs</li><li>Issue permits and serve as Permit Supervisor/Authorizer for ALL areas of the Veolia Port Arthur site, not just within the incinerator unit. These permits may include:<ul><li>Safe Work, HotWork, Line Break, and Confined Space Entry Permits</li></ul></li><li>Maintain all "Hot Sumps" within the unit</li><li>Perform daily ash clearing of the kiln disengaging chamber by performing Powershots</li><li>Perform deslagging of the kiln as needed with controlled meltout per SDP</li><li>Perform routine deslagging of the Secondary Combustion Chamber(SCC) with controlled meltout per SDP and a follow up "Shootout" of the SCC bottom to remove slag inventory buildup</li><li>Oversee unit operators during outages while cleaning out all vessels and equipment and monitor the repair efforts of contractors and maintenance</li><li>Train or assist in the training, development, and sign-off of incinerator and unit operators</li><li>Perform Supervisory duties in the absence of assigned shift supervisor.
