The dispatcher will be responsible for managing and directing emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching UK ambulances, scheduling ambulance transports, and assisting in air traffic control for helicopters landing at the UK medical center. They will also be responsible for call intake for all incoming EMS units and relaying pertinent information to the appropriate party within the hospital. There is an IEBC being considered. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Basic medical terminology and computer skills. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Two years of related experience highly preferred; experience in air traffic control operations and within a large healthcare organization preferred; at least 1 year of Public Safety/911 dispatch experience and/or dispatch certification preferred.
