They request relevant medical records from clinician offices, ensure appropriate documentation is received, and conduct follow-ups when necessary. Additionally, they review medical records for key details and create custom medical records and appeal cover letters. The role also involves making outbound calls to patients regarding consent appeal requirements and effectively communicating the reimbursement process.
