Event Marketing Manager
This is a remote position. Candidate must be located within the United States.

Rancher Government Solutions (RGS) is specifically designed to address the unique security and operational needs of the U.C. Government and military as it relates to application modernization, containers, and Kubernetes.
Rancher is a complete open-source software stack for teams adopting containers. It addresses the operations and security challenges of managing multiple Kubernetes clusters at scale, while providing DevOps teams with integrated tools for running containerized workloads.
RGS supports all Rancher products with U.S. based American citizen with the highest security clearances who are currently supporting programs across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and civilian agencies.
POSITION SUMMARY
As the hands-on Events Manager you will help support the organization through events, trade shows, workshops, and digital marketing campaigns. An ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience with a proven track record of managing corporate events from start to finish. Candidates must also be highly organized, skilled communicators, experienced at managing campaigns, budgets, meeting goals, reporting, and creative processes. Experience in marketing technical products and services to the government sector is a must. This position will report to the VP of Communications and Supervised by Marketing Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain Event Calendar and Source Future Events that align closely with our account-based marketing strategy and Industry Memberships.
- Contribute ideas for event innovations to enhance RGS events and ensure alignment with the company objectives and vision.
- Manage event plans and deliverables including setting timelines, division of duties, content development and speaker sourcing, event sponsorship, contract management, vendor sourcing and relationships, promotions, collateral/marketing materials, giveaways and promotional items, A/V, food & beverage, labor, shipping logistics, staffing, hotels, etc.
- Coordinate with our show partners to ensure our requirements are communicated properly, booth display and show materials designed are in line with branding guidelines
- Manage event budgets including processing invoices and facilitate payments of event related bills
- Manage our lead generation process including supporting lead generation campaigns by ensuring leads are processed correctly into our marketing automation platform and CRM.
- Create post-event enablement resources to drive pipeline
- Ensure project KPIs are meticulously tracked, measured, and reported on pre, during, and post-event.
- Prepare team materials to brief attendees prior to events and host post event calls to ensure on-going event success.
- Perform ongoing research on our strengths and opportunity areas, as well as those of our competitors.
- Work with Account Executives to plan Rancher Round-Up events including venue sourcing, promotion, collateral/marketing materials, giveaways and support team with marketing email and social media campaigns to ensure success.
- Manage equipment inventory, storage, and shipment of materials to and from conferences
- Support or project manage other marketing projects and events as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree. Focus on events and/or marketing preferred, but not required
- 3-5+ years of event experience.
- Experience at a Government Agency or Company focused on the federal market preferred.
- Proficiency in the Google suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Project management experience
- Multi-tasking and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proven success working in a collaborative environment
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with a high degree of professionalism
- Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to innovate and come up with new ideas, that will help us to continually improve our events
- Working Knowledge of HubSpot & Salesforce
- Ability to travel throughout the year (approx. 25%)
- Proven budget experience
- Knowledge of hotel, travel and meeting planning business is required, particularly in terms of normal service expectations.
