THE ROLE

Using discretion and judgment, the Marketing Analytics Lead Analyst supports the development and implementation of the vision for data-driven marketing for MFS.This role will determine and analyze KPIs for marketing strategies across MFS's digital platforms as well as developing the appropriate frameworks, tools and platforms to effectively analyze data and apply learnings to help the business decision making process.Works with multiple stakeholders to ensure data driven objectives are met and analysis is used appropriately and effectively to optimize programs and initiatives.This role is a champion for data driven decision making throughout the organization, particularly as it pertains to marketing programs.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Evolve and support MFS's analytics vision and capability to develop data driven strategic marketing learnings and insights globally.
  • Ability to support and help architect the appropriate set of tools, platforms and environments to effectively deliver data driven insights.
  • Demonstrate deep passion for delivering and articulating actionable insights to optimize and evolve marketing programs and initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to define KPIs based on marketing, audience and brand objectives; determine and execute testing opportunities to capture further learnings.
  • Provide data findings and insights to help optimize the mix of marketing programs across Paid, Owned and Earned experiences including, but not limited to, campaigns, media, content, website, apps, CRM initiatives, and social marketing.
  • Provide regular reporting. Identify trends, areas of opportunity, scale and ongoing improvements; Identify and drive successful adoption of proven best practices (Global, Regional, Local).
  • Deep Proficiency in core data analytic functions: Database concepts, data platforms and architecting skills; SAS or other statistical programming expertise; multivariate testing and statistical analysis expertise; primary research methodologies and frameworks.
  • Conduct and assess marketplace and competitor digital reviews to measure ongoing digital activities, identify emerging financial services market trends, and determine impact to MFS' digital strategy. Scan broader digital ecosystem to identify potential best practices and new processes for MFS consideration.
  • Ability to develop and maintain highly effective team (when applicable) who can deliver on objectives and drive ongoing vision and optimizations.
  • Understanding and appreciation of working collaboratively with sales, marketing, product, and technology teams to deliver an outstanding experience for customers and stakeholders.
  • Navigate global compliance regulations for the Financial Services industry and ensure that all data capture applications and experiences conform to established policies and guidelines. (Global, Regional, Local).
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • BA or BS in Marketing, Finance, Statistics or equivalent experience; advanced degrees in related areas a plus. 
  • Minimum of 5-6+ years of experience in a quantitative business environment including, but not limited to, key marketing areas of focus such web analytics, database analytics, media and/or digital content and social platforms.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising, marketing and strategy as well as digital analytics including the vendors and testing methodologies and approaches.
  • Working knowledge of and/or interest in financial services and comfortable adhering to the practices required for a regulated industry a plus.
  • Ability to work within a team environment, while also assuming leadership when appropriate.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong customer experience skills with the ability to pick up new tools, platforms and ideas quickly.
