Under the guidance of the HR Manager, this position provides Recruiting and HR operational support for multishift manufacturing group of approximately 850 non-union employees.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace’s value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.
  • Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment;
  • Report all job-related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook);
  • Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner;
  • Attend all EH&S training.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions
  • Recruiting/Staffing - Full cycle recruiting for Salaried & hourly positions. 
  • Identify and engage with potential candidates through various channels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and professional networks.
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with candidates to assess their qualifications.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to select the best fit for the role.
  • Provide detailed feedback and recommendations to hiring managers.
  • Prepare and extend job offers to candidates.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with candidates.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance to onboarding.
  • Assist with new employee orientation for all Dover, NJ hires;
  • Create and modify job descriptions within all departments.
  • Manage Affirmative Action reporting
  • Assist with workforce reductions, administering layoffs in accordance with policy;
  • Perform other assignments as required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of Human Resources/recruiting experience.
  • Excellent computer skills – MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • PHR, SPHR & MBA are a plus;
  • Human Resources Generalist experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and connect at all levels in the organization
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience working with Excel, Oracle HRIS
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills
