Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payments provider for businesses and corporations of all sizes. The US Small Business and Middle Market segment (SME – Small and Medium Enterprise) is the largest GCS customer segment, with tremendous growth momentum, and continues to be a key area of investment and focus for our company.

The Tele Sales Marketing & Enablement team is part of the Managed Marketing Prospect organization in GCS.  This team is focused on delivering essential value to US SME Prospects and Customer-Facing Colleagues through best-in-class B2B marketing.The Senior Manager - U.S. SME Acquisition Marketing will work to advance the team’s mission to deliver a best-in-class B2B marketing and sales experience to convert valuable business prospects through our Tele Sales channel.  The individual will manage our dual-selling (Small Business & Corporate products) Tele Sales team marketing needs (e.g. product talking points, offer usage reporting, content/collateral) with a focus on consistently on delivering goals while maximizing compliance & efficiency.

The colleague will also be responsible for leading strategic initiatives which span across Tele Sales (both dual-selling and non-dual selling teams) such as offer strategy & lead warming opportunities by partnering closely with Sales & cross-functional teams which include Marketing Analytics, Product, Tech, Finance, Sales Enablement, Risk, Legal & Compliance.

The candidate will need to successfully operate in a highly matrixed environment, learn multifaceted internal American Express systems/processes, collaborate across teams, influence & present across all levels of leadership, closely manage & monitor Marketing forecasts and successfully lead multiple projects and deadlines at a fast pace.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead Marketing Channel Management of our dual-selling (Small Business & Corporate card product) teams which includes managing strategic relationships with Sales leaders to identify ways to consistently deliver on goals (e.g. product talking points, content, collateral etc.), leading accurate forecasting to optimize marketing budgets and create & review performance reporting to identify actionable insights. 
  • Key point of contact to the product organization to ensure Sales colleagues have compelling & relevant marketing assets, talking points and offers to support upcoming product updates & refreshes. 
  • Lead innovative marketing strategies which span across Tele Sales (both dual & non-dual selling teams) such as optimizing the Sales Offer Strategy, warm lead strategy development and the use of Gen AI on call transcript data to identify & refine opportunities to deliver an elevated call experience with a focus on efficiency, compliance and growth.
  • Drive Corporate acquisition growth by creating engaging & effective content/collateral to support Sales needs and explore Corporate offer innovation. 
  • Engage, influence and advocate for Sales with all relevant cross-functional partners to gain buy-in and approvals necessary to launch strategic initiatives across the prospect decision making journey, from lead generation to conversion. 
  • Develop & present clear, engaging & easy to understand Marketing strategy change management content for Tele Sales colleagues that are reviewed & approved by all required partners (GCO, LOBCO, Product, Control Management, Commercial Effectiveness & Governance, Sales leaders, etc.). 
  • Lead large scale presentations (100+ colleagues) in a clear & concise manner.
  • Lead one full-time Analyst.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing preferred (or equivalent)
  • Extremely detail oriented and able to handle multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to get results through data driven analysis, with a background in performance marketing & forecasting
  • Creative, goal-oriented professional with a consistent track record for driving innovation and setting effective plans to achieve targets.
  • Experience in project management with the ability to juggle many deadlines & work streams
  • Collaborative self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to effectively distill complex material and convey the “so what” in a clear, compelling & concise manner to large scale audiences across all levels
  • Customer-focused mindset; excited and passionate about creating a great sales experience through Marketing levers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • People leadership a plus
  • Understanding of US SME organization a plus

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
